christ, i hate television.
all anyone cares about is sex and money. its all about being thin and good looking, finding a mate, and being richer then all those other assholes.
we have these television shows like "extreame makeover", "renovate my family" (what the fuck) and even "who wants to be a hilton".
everyone has to be someone else. everyone has to be better. its ridiculous. it makes me sick. "who wants to be a hilton" what the fuck is this? yes we all want to be hiltons because they are just so much better than the rest of us. wake up...they are just a bunch of rich assholes with nice cars. what have they ever done for you?
Dating shows are also quite distressing. I came across a program today titled, "hooking up" it features 11 hopelessly desperate women in search of the perfect man (oh please). so it films them as they go to extreme lengths, (internet) to find a man. First of all these are all young, physically healthy, generally good looking people. Why would they have to resort to the internet or a television show to help them find a realtionship. there must be something seriously wrong here. some twisted secrets or something. i mean if someone is actually resorting to the internet for dating.
Then we have these shows like "american idol" what i would like to know is whos i this Simon guy to decide whether these people are good and singing?...and Paula Abdul for that matter...its not like she was such a success story herself. All the pathetic people they pick sound the same anyway. i hate it.
But possibly the biggest violation of privacy out there are shows like "the real world" and "big brother". In whos twisted mind is this concidered "reality"? this is not my reality. this is just an excuse to watch hot girls get in catfights and burly men cry. it keeps getting more extreame too. soon there will be a show featuring twenty porn stars and a 95 year old man and he decides which one he wants and then they decide how they would like to poisin him and inherit his life savings. (i dunno)
